Thank you Phil, one question: my 'guest' account is disabled, is it normal? Should I enable it?
Ciao, Maurizio
Thanks a lot for keeping us on top of this Phil!
Yes thanks very much Phil.
My new Synology NAS with WD Red drives, which I ordered just before the update issue surfaced, has just arrived here and I am very grateful for your advanced advice on how to deal with what I'm about to get into!

.................. & for me its all is 100% OK ........
Hibernation works on queue, ..............
........... to add ........... hibernation now seems a lot more robust.
I have reset to the minimum time to hibernate at 10 minutes & spent some time last evening checking the time from NAS play stop to NAS going to hibernation, it was on time every time. Before the update it might go off on time, other times something different, maybe double the set time.
I've also kept an eye on it coming out of hibernation for no reason as it was liable to do before update-2. Never found out what/why, maybe something to do with Windows Media Player .... ??? Update-2 is so far so good, but I have yet to check the activity around midnight; the previous rev seemed to wakeup at midnight & I assumed that was caused by the date change.
I've had the NAS cabinet door open since my last post & watched for any times it comes out of hibernation for no obvious reason.
Only two noticed & both in the last 12 hours: about 12:30 (midnight) last evening when changing inputs in the app, going from iRadio to FM Radio (Pre Tuner input), something I always do when switching off.
This morning, only FM Radio on & I was using PC (not iPad) for e-mails for the last 1 hour.
- I noticed on the news this morning that we have a very powerful geomagnetic storm at the moment & its reported to be doing strange things with communications incl app's. It must be something special as it was visible in my area (normally too far south) & especially so as it is summer equinox & the sky is not completely dark. The geo storm might be the cause, but whatever I am not watching out for hibernation issues too seriously until it has subsided.
