Why oh why oh why is this *still* such a pain?
C'mon, Naim - give us a simple metadata editor which will correctly edit the metadata such that your server / streamer platforms will understand it.
It has got to the point where I won't download classical music anymore because if I do, I'll end up spending the rest of the day trying a variety of metadata editors to label the album such that my HDX-SSD (running the latest software etc etc etc) will correctly identify it. And usually fail.
It sometimes happens for non-classical titles, too, but it almost 100% guaranteed with classical.
Bloody Hell!
For those that are interested, the latest time-sink is this album:
Handel: Keyboard Suites - Daria van den Bruncken Sony Classical 2012. Downloaded from Qobuz.

From an early stage I got into the habit of stripping out the tags from downloads and doing them myself. Getting tripped up by metadata is not the sole province of Naim servers although admittedly their CD rip tagging is very peculiar, if another subject.
IIRC, some of the most bizarre lookup howlers have arisen from tags in Qobuz downloads. Easily sorted.

I don't know why you can't get any of a variety of available metadata editors to work for you. And if existing ones are giving you trouble, I suspect that if Naim were to issue one (which isn't needed as there are so many already imho) it'd give you issues too.
Do you use Windows or OS X?
What exactly 'fails' when you try the edits? Many of us here are quite facile at metadata editing; plenty of help is available. I suspect that you're doing one or two basic things wrong, maybe.

Thanks for the replies.
Tried Kid3, Metadatics - cleared tags and re-inputted them ensuring no 'forbidden' characters.
Still not seen by HDX.
Shouldn't be this fiddly - I want to listen to music not fiddle with metadata.
Am using Mac OS X. Any suggestions?

Billy, first rule -- do the tag editing to files on your computer, THEN copy them to the HDX.
For OS X I use Metadatics. A little program called Tag is even simpler.
If you follow my "first rule" you may get better results, as when tags are edited to files on the server already, it can take more than one re-scan for the server to find the changes. That may be your entire problem.

I've mostly used dBpoweramp which I believe is now available for Mac although I don't know if it yet has full PC style functionality. As Bart says, this kind of editing is most reliably, conveniently and quickly done on your PC/Mac before the HDX gets to look at them. I didn't have any high hopes or big wants for 24bit material when we first got our HDX. It just sounded better to me than our CDX2. But I quickly got into the world of HiRes downloads and the need to cope with meta tag issues arrived simultaneously. dBpoweramp was the third application I tried and I have not moved on. It tags, anything and tags it good. It'll also strip tags out of anything like a good weed killer.

Thanks. Bought DBP for Mac and managed to get the Handel suitably tagged. I think that the tip about tagging prior to putting the files on the share is a good one so thanks for that. Perhaps Naim should put some of this information in their manual. Would save much frustration, I think...
