Qobuz Connect

I was fiddling around, and noticed that port 7070 ARCP is open on the Qobuz servers. I have queried around and it appears this port used by the new Qobuz Connect service using Apple QuickTime or similar media streaming method.

This is encouraging as it appears the new Qobuz Connect capability has perhaps now been enabled for hardware manufacturers, and I wonder if this is what Linn are using. Fingers crossed Naim get there before too long..

I hope Naim will also use this as well. I am pretty pleased with my Qobus streaming connection. As they offer red book quality it starts to make sense as enhancement of my NAS based collection.

I hope so too! It's proving a long wait for a CD quality streaming service available directly through Naim kit.

Despite not owning a Naim streamer I still hope that Naim and Qobuz unite soon. Would be a popular and potentially lucrative move for both parties IMO.
