Cricket summer 2015

I wish I was at Headingley today (wrapped in a blanket) to see the last day of the series.

Whatever happens this has been a great start to the cricket summer. The Black Caps have been true to their word; playing cricket with an attacking attitude and a determination to entertain and also enjoy themselves. They have some talented players and also a 'no fear' approach that seems to have liberated good performances from some more average ones. No sledging either-what a refreshing change. I think England have responded in kind with positive cricket and on field attitudes which has been refreshing. Cricket can be competitive and tough but also fair and with respect between teams. This series has upheld the oft mentioned but rarely defined 'spirit of cricket'. The Aussies will of course do the same....

Nothing beats Test cricket, especially played like this.

If we lose this afternoon I will be happy enough in a way that the series has been shared. Cliché alert-cricket has been the winner so far.

Yes agreed

A very entertaining series played in a good spirit of sportsmanship. Pity it can't be a 3 test series, but NZ will have to get more consistant in their on their tour matches to warrant this. Their away record agaist England, Australia and India is very poor. I hope their new positive attitude will last and that they get rewarded with more overseas wins.

Oh well back to form,  England spluttered & stuttered all out for 255

Thats a new record for NZ - 199 is the largest Test win over England

Deserved. Honours even seems a fair end

The Ashes may be slaughter though. I have tickets for Edgbaston. Hopefully will not be over by Day two.
