World Cup

The world cup has just kicked off here in Canada. I have watched parts of two games (China Vs Canada and and NZL Vs NED). I'll admit that I am pretty shocked at the poor standard of play. I was expecting much better. I doubt I'll be watching any more. But good luck to all the girls in any case.

Mr Meredith's memory is scary!

Back on topic, I hope the tournament is a success. But I'll not watch it. Having caught bits of some of the womens' games in the Olympics I think I've become too accustomed to the power and speed of the mens' game to be able to enjoy it.
