hi,
just bought a unitiqute 2 and found that the power socket and switch are loose in the casing. That is, i can move them, they are not seated tightly. Is this a fault on mine, or are they all like that.

it's meant to be like that, mine is exactly the same (and is the same on my other naim equipment), I can't remember the reason why, I'm sure someone will post why they're built this way.

It's to reduce the detrimental effect of vibrations entering the casework via the mains cable.
My ND5 XS and Nait XS-2 have the same arrangement.

There should be a small amount of vertical and lateral movement in the IEC socket within the rear panel - this is perfectly normal and done like this by design to ameliorate detrimental vibrational and microphonic effects fed via the mains lead to the casework. It's a small detail, but lots of small details all add up to something larger and more significant.
