Unitiserve 2TB error messages

Posted by: Fokkelman on 12 June 2015

I had some issues last night. The US kept scanning, pending and scanning... The app lost connection and suddenly it was back online only to lose it again.

I looked at every hardware device connected to my home network. One thing I noticed, but this is besides the problems, I need an extra network switch between my Fritzbox router.... all ports are occupied now. BTW, I have a Netgear switch between my NDS and US.

Well back to the story. I noticed in the system log of n-Serve (Mac version) a lot of error messages, like:

Information: No DigiFi track found for "And, Finally" in "Stuart McCallum - Distilled Live" at location "\\192.168.178.25\Downloads\Stuart McCallum\Distelled Live"

I rebuild the database and all the messages cleared. But now the problem is back again.

Any suggestions?

I forgot, the US works fine now.... only the error messages reappear again.

I notice a slight difference in spelling in the error message -- "Distilled Live" vs. "Destelled Live."  That could certainly throw off something.

I've used those error logs to find sometimes tracks that unknown to me are not being picked up due to strange little issues like foreign characters or invisible characters.  I had one album that kept appearing in a log and there was something funky like that about the album title.

Hi Bart,

Didn't noticed that.... I will dig deeper. Thanks for replying!

Distilled Live is the right spelling.
