Bluetooth upgrade for existing users

Posted by: Regts on 18 June 2015

A while back an update was introduced including Spotify connect for both new and existing users and bluetooth for new users.

As I am an existing user, owning a UnitiQute2 for about a year I was wondering whether it's possible to have a bluetooth upgrade as well.

Are there any accessoires available to get bluetooth functionality on my Qute?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Kind regards, Jasper

I may be wrong, but I think this was mentioned a while ago and the upshot was that it'd be too expensive to be a practical upgrade.

But there are plenty of gadgets which can be used into either the digital or analogue inputs of your qute - just google Bluetooth audio receiver and you'll find everything from bargain basement to comparatively expensive.

I find it difficult to find out what is worth investing in. I would like a bluetooth that could be connected directly to my Ndac. I looked around some time ago but had a hard time finding such a device.

Belkin sells a Bluetooth connector that does optical digital output.  Rocketfish sells one as well.  These could be connected to your Dac, Claus.  Most only do analog output but some have digital output too.

Both musical fidelity and arcam have nice looking bluetooth units. They have analog and digital outs. This would be a good route to try. I have been considering one for my Qute.

I have an Arcam rBlink that worked pretty well.  I bought it when I was renting...Now I'm back in my house I rarely use it but to the best of my recollection it sounded pretty good.  Has an optical out and a decent internal DAC with an analog out also
