Don't suppose anyone could recommend a 37-42" plasma tv for £400-£500 - I have been researching for what seems like eternity and my head hurts - a lot
Just bought a TXP42V20B Panasonic fantastic bit of kit freesat/freeview included and today got the new HD terrestral versions of BBC One,CH4,BBC HD, ITV HD if you can still find one buy it, could'nt be bothered with the new 3D version!.
Best Regards.
Thanks guys - those are just a bit out of my price range, unfortunately ...

Just before last Christmas I purchased a Panasonic TX-P37X20B for £384
I may have got lucky with that price from Amazon, the price seems to jump up and down every week.
But it’s a very good 37” Plasma i'm very pleased with it.
Have a look at it’s specifications on Amazon, and then shop around for the best price.
Also... I may be mistaken but I think Tesco’s may be selling it’s bigger 42” brother for £500 ish?
Debs
Thanks for that Debs. I checked on Tesco and they have he 42" at £479, so it is definitely worth seriously considering. Going to pop in to sevenoaks tomorrow and then decide what to do...

If its a Plasma it has to be a panasonic. I recently demoed a 46inch 3d Tv for a very reasonable price and have to say was very impressed by it.
I've had a Panasonic 37" plasma for about 3yrs now and I love it. Some LCD's have a sharper more "high def" looking picture which looks great in the shop but starts to look a bit artificial with longer viewing.
I have just sourced for my dad a new Panasonic plasma - after lots of research. He definitely did not want 3D but wanted best picture, 42" screen and good sound (the TV will not be AV'd)
We plumped for the TXP42G30B at £680 on Amazon - its their new 2D Plasma
We also looked at the TXP42U30B which can be had for £440 from the same place
Thanks everyone. I did indeed by a 42" Panasonic for £400, and I think it ws the U30B. I am very pleased with it.
Best wishes
