Naim N-Stream - Problem arranging sequence of iRadio preset stations

Posted by: Tariqv on 10 July 2015

I have about 20 stations recorded in the presets but I can no longer rearrange their sequence in the list. Say there is a preset station listed at #17 and I click edit and long press to change its position to #12, what happens is initially the station name takes the same name of station # 11 (it appears as duplicate stations listed in tandem), and after playing with the app shortly (going back one step or scrolling up and down through the preset list, the stations still appears in the same original position (i.e #17).

It seems to be a bug, has anyone experienced this and found a fix?

Thanks

If you click 'edit presets' they move into a left-aligned list. You then just hold the one you want to move, then drag and drop.

I haven't experienced the symptoms you describe but I couldn't rearrange stations until I was on the latest firmware which I installed this week (3.22 previously).

Is everything on the latest version?

A couple of other people have posted the same problem, although it's always worked OK for me. Odd, but you're not alone.

You don't say what Naim app,  iOS or Android

It works for me in iOS,  it takes a delicate touch with a gentle push to the left to get it to move & softly softly on the landing.

Its the ios app on iphone 6. My NDX has the version 4.2 I think (havent updated to 4.3 yet). I am able to move the presets by a prolonged press-n-drag move but the name changes and becomes a duplicate of the station name situated right above its new position

iOS is same as me,  I have a Mini iPad & iOS 8.4

This preset thing is all in the app,  nothing to do with 4.2 or 4.3

I would be tempted to try an app reset & if that doesn't work then delete & reinstall.

Sorry it will zap your already selected presets,  maybe your 20 presets is the problem (somehow I doubt it)   but it does work OK with my 10 presets.

Thanks Mike!

Anything else I need to know before deleting the app in case something's lost?

Go for it !!!!

Then update to 4.3,  you might find a small tiny bit better SQ

When I updated to the latest firmware, and then swapped from beta app to the App Store version, all my presets stayed intact - the same stations in the same order.
