Twonky and Minim

i am having trouble with both applications and neither are finding all music on my QNAP NAS. Any ideas ?..I dislike both applications and want the simplicity of iTunes and the quality of NaiM for high res files. I am streaming to a Super Uniti that sounds fantastic with the files I can find !

Any ideas? Rescan in Minimwatch. Minim is superb server software, and if it's not working it's your setup that needs sorting out.

Hi Geo,

I use Asset from dbpoweramp on a QNAP and it works perfectly.

Really easy to set up, easy to configure and transcodes to WAV on the fly.

Hi Geo,

ive used both on my QNAP with great success. Minim being the better of the two as it allows you to transcode FLAC to WAV which to my surprises make a big difference in SQ with my NDS.

The first thing to check is have you got all your music in one folder ? Both these programs look at only the folders you tell them. The default on QNAP is Qmultimedia. I have all my music is a music sub folder there.

Please be patient. Once you get your set up right, you'll have no problems whichever of these programs you choose to run with.
