New version out today which brings remote control via an app on Apple devices.  Should be interesting

Very happy with the remote which is very convenient.

I've tried it yesterday on the iphone and ipad and it works flawless till so far.

Thanks for the heads up. Look forward to giving this a go later.

Thanks for the heads up, too.

Just downloaded the Remote app and glad to hear that at least one person is happy with it.  Looks like my evening is now sorted

Upgraded to latest software and remote A+ app & pretty impressed so far. Noted some album are not present in album view but shows fine in playing screen. Artwork appears fine on main screen of Audirvana on Mac mini, maybe a teethimg issue? Sounding a little more resolved and revealing to my late night ears here in Adelaide.

Looking forward to next week when S400 arrive and some holidays from work.

Quite a lot of chatter on the net about improved sq, mainly around resolution, the problem is I fitted new speaker cables at the same time I upgraded Audirvana so I'm not sure which is responsible for what change in sound.  I do know it sounds very good though

Can anyone tell me if on the ipad app when viewing albums if there is an alphabet selector as on the Naim app

It's only available to use with the latest version. I still use v1.5 but I can still control iTunes with Remote app on the iPad. Maybe I'll upgrade but I wasn't too impressed with the music library function on the trial version.

It's worked perfectly for me since the day I set it up, and it has excellent sq

Yes, the current version SQ is by far the best that Audirvana has produced and couple with iPad Remote it is a wonderful music software player to own.

I don't use album view much graeme to had to log in to look; there is a a - z on artist view but not, as far as I can see, on album view at the moment.

He's very active on some of the forums so worth asking him to include in furture upgrades. I'm pretty please with it although I can think of one or two improvements, adding to playlists and building playlists, for example

Looking forward to trying the update and app when I get back from my hols.

Really hoping the SQ will match that of ND5 into Hugo which just had the edge.

Which forums do you mean, ive posted on the Audirvana forum to no avail

Jury definitely out on Qobuz. Although I still have my subscription, the SQ is not that of my other 44/16 sources so it's an expensive try before you buy option. I just might go back to Spotify.

I can't post a link, for some bizarre reason, but if you do a google search on Audirvana + 2.2 and Audirvana + 2.2 remote, you will see it on the first page

Ok, found my problem- El Capitano doesn' t like my setup...

the tracks I could play sound very good!

Has anyone tried the feature that lets AV disengage in iTunes intergrated mode and playing a DRM protect file?

Love the remote, a direct and fast app (compared with Apple Remote).

Damien78 has to be congratulated ...  :-)

I don't use Itunes at all, hate the thing but I agree, the remote is brilliant, especially as this is its first itteration.

Posted on: 30 July 2015 by Erich

Yesterday I updated software and today downloaded the app to my iPhone.

Up to now, great!

Easy, fast.

New functionality also added and bugs removed. Good!

Regards.

With a maxed pc with latest Audirvana 2.2 handling the music files, its SQ can give ND5 or NDX a run for its money

I'm at a loss to understand why so many folks dislike iTunes. I have looked at alternatives but good old iTunes always seems to work absolutely fine for me.
