Sad news.

Her singles in the 1960's formed part of the soundtrack of my youth.

Shocking news, she wasn't old enough to die, tragic.

A wonderful person, and one of Britain's national treasures : (

Growing up in the Middle East, this was Black's most famous song:

Cilla's songs from the '60s were something very special. A very sad loss.

I saw on the news last night that they interviewed Ricky, a restauranteur from Estapona. His restaurant was one of Cilla's favourites. Not knowing that we went to the restaurant a few weeks back, a very camp experience indeed. My wife loved it.

I loved her on Bacharach's songs ... her version of Alfie is the best.

I saw her in Aladdin at the Palladium in 1971 and fell in love (I was nine). She was fantastic. I never really reconciled that memory with the Blind Date and Surprise Surprise years.

Basil Brush was on the bill and I still have my Basil Brush LP, which is totally brilliant.

….. and how did you like it?

It can't say I was a fan of Cilla in her later years but her early career was fascinating.

We seem to be losing quite a few at the moment - a sign of our ageing I suppose.

It wasn't my favourite restaurant of those we frequented on holiday. I judge a restaurant on the food as well as the ambience, both of which weren't to my taste.
