Multiroom not quite Carling

Naim's marketing strategy seems to be give away multiroom and everyone will queue up to buy compatible devices.

Judging by Naim's forums, it appears to be working.   I have considered slaving a Mu-so to my ND5SX but won't until the ND5SX streams it's realtime sources, in particular the DAB/FM module. iRadio is unreliable. Cricket fans will have discovered that the iRadio Radio5LiveSX stream isn't Radio5LiveSX 'as broadcast' but a neutered substitute.

I shall just have to continue with my current multiroom scheme of winding up the volume and opening the doors.

Incidentally, I wonder how many other iRadio sources are doctored for the benefit of sponsors - especially foreign government news streams.

I have tried a couple of brands offering network-multi-room, and researched a fair bit.  Naim seems to do it best so far, of the ones I have tried.  Even so, I much prefer the results running Line-level to each zone.  Muso has Aux-in, I believe.

RG-6 cable is used for CATV.  Pros also use it in pairs for long audio runs.  Running CAT-5 is easier than RG-6, I agree, but the RG-6 results are worth the extra fuss, IME.
