Ofcom phone coverage site

I see that ofcom have amalgamated the data from various mobile phone companies about cellphone coverage.

I have submitted to them my report on our local coverage.  According to O2 (and ofcom) I should be getting 3G cover in our village.  I have never had 3G coverage ANYWHERE in the village (Barton-Under-Needwood), and often only manage 1 or 2 bars on my iPhone 6 plus (it was the same on my old 3GS).   Sometimes at home I get no coverage AT ALL!

My kids use Orange (think they might have changed their name recently?), and they are lucky to get any service at all when they visit us.  Needless to say Orange says 3G available as well.

No doubt they have plenty of small print to get them off the hook. A possible solution might be to sign up with a network that allows you to route mobile calls and texts through your internet connection. Three have an app that does this, and it doesn't cost anything. I think EE have one too.
