playing vinyl through analogue input of MU SO

Posted by: DaveV on 21 August 2015

I have admired Naim from afar for years, and when the MU-SO arrived could not wait to delve into the world of Naim and was I amazed, yes. my enquiry is to see if I can connect and play my Rega Planar3 turntable through the analogue input via a phono stage. does anybody know of a quality 3.5mm to RCA connector? I would so much like to hear my vinyl through this amazing machine. I would very much appreciate any advice on offer.

Chord Company will make a quality interconnect to any terminations you specify at a sensible cost. Find a dealer that handles them and they cangive you a quote.

+1.  I have this Chord cable in mini to RCA and one in mini to DIN.  My dealer said they were being discontinued, but you might find one or have it made up.

Flashback cables are really good quality and they will make to order if it's not a stock item.

Send them an e-mail.

I'd go for Flashback, they sell a few different 3.5mm to RAC connectors. Good prices, good company to deal with.

Funny, because last March when we were doing the Statement tour in the US. At Promusica in Chicago, the Mu-so was connected to a Rega turntable (and Fono) in the backroom where food and drinks were dressed.

As a break to this awesome music (Statement + Evidence), this backroom music was extremely refreshing (beer was helping, ...maybe). In a word, yes it was sounding great.

Don't have the turntable too close to the mu-so to prevent feedback.
