My ND5XS is "analyzing"

I just purchased a s/h ND5XS and purchased/downloaded dbpoweramp and asset. I ripped some CDs and the player and asset were all working great until I tried to get fancy and change some asset settings. I'm still working on the asset problem but in the interim have been able to play music through a USB stick. But now when I try and do so I hear nothing. The tracks show up on my player but no music plays and the only message is analyzng" followed by 44kz. Does anyone have any idea what happened or, of course, how to fix it?

Assuming that rebooting your ND5 XS doesn't solve your playing USB stick music, I would be inclined to try a factory reset, which you do by pressing the spanner key on the remote and navigating to the factory reset option.
