nDAC and DAC-V1 beta testers required! **CLOSED**

Posted by: MarkR on 09 September 2015

Hi there forumites!

can I have an indication of how many of you have either of these type of units? We are looking at pushing out beta very very soon and need to know what traction we will get, so could you please indicate to me on this thread who has one of our DAC units and would be willing to help Naim SQA directly?

Please provide me with your Forum username and email that you login with - I can then setup beta forum access rights.

I am hoping that there will be many of you who take up this invitation and be willing to participate in our user acceptance test programme. Places will limited and offered on a first come first serve basis.

Please email me at mark.richardson@naimaudio.com with your details.

Many thanks

Mark Richardson

It is excellent news that Naim is preparing a significant FW upgrade to its DACs

Interesting how some people assume that the software is firmware and that the change is significant without knowing what it is.

Interesting, hopefully this should include beta testing DSD capability. after all the NDAC is quite similar to the streamer DAC topologies.. I no longer have my NDAC, but those that do, enjoy the beta exercise.

Wow! What an absolutely awesome response from you guys out there!

With such a great response I am sorry that there are no further places available at this time.

I will therefore start to setup the access required for all you who have so kindly responded so far.

For those of you who would have liked to join and are now unable I would like to thank you the enthusiasm you have shown and please note that there will very probably be more times when the doors will be flung open for further beta testers.

For those of you who have been accepted then you will shortly receive access to beta forum via email conformation.

Thank you for your cooperation

Mark

Perhaps the extent of Wat's assumption is reflected in the relative font sizes.  Subtle, I know . . .

Hi Mark

The comments that should only be visible to those in the beta group are appearing in the right hand column of the forum for everyone to see. Here's an example:

Hi there SAT the 2 files must be at the root level of the USB stick and not in hidden in folders. So the 2 files, namely blackfin.ldr...

Mark,

It is nice to see Naim aiming to improve its DAC products. All your efforts are much appreciated.

Should further places become available at some stage down the line, I would be very interested in joining the beta testing. My system is based around an nDAC/555PS. Further details and email address in my profile.

I am just back after two weeks without internet connection and I am really pleased to see that Naim has not stopped improving its DAC range. Thanks MarkR, well done Naim!
