"New" Apple Upgrades are a joke!

A bigger iPad, touchy-touchy screen, a very offensive 12mp camera upgrade. And what's with that "pen"? Jobs must be turning in his grave!
No-one is forcing you to buy the stuff. I'm going to look at the mega iPad I think. Not sure why. Just looks cool. The "pen" might add functionality. Very many professionals use tablets (e.g. Wacom) for software control (video editing for example). They all use stylii and are like poetry in motion to watch when working fast.
Hey, why is the camera upgrade "very offensive"? Whilst I can't imagine that the lens is good enough to really warrant it, and people just post the stuff online anyway (so resolution all-but irrelevant), but it does allow for some more "digital zoom", I guess. Even better low-light performance might have been useful instead. But "very offensive"?
Seems to me that the last thing the iPhone needed was to be thinner. They should have increased the battery life instead. Perhaps even as an alternate version. I guess they do their market research, though. Just my 2 cents.
Take spill and chill out, winki. Apple is all about innovation for me and there was nothing in today's presentation that rocked my boat. Just my twopence and a florin!
The bigger iPAD may be in part an answer to Microsoft's Surface Pro, which with the pen and Onenote has transformed the way I work, totally paperless with the things I can control. It's been the most productive and transformative work product since my first Win 95 PC.
For me iPAD for passive, Surface Pro for Active.
They are suffering from the fact that there is very little reason to upgrade from IPAD 2, unless it breaks down or you simply want another one in the house.Great product though, has transformed "TV" viewing in our house.

Agree there. Pretty minor stuff, really. But nothing that offended me.
I love my Apple TV, but not sure if the new model is worth upgrading to.
I love my 5s, and will seriously consider the 6s.
I love my iPad 2 (and iPad Air that my employer supplies), and even at $1000, I will definitely be ordering an iPad Pro. The current models are very good for late reading and surfing, and while TV watching is perfectly acceptable, I would have loved to have a bigger screen for last night's Mexico-Argentina match!
Does this make me a fan boy? Probably...

I like the Apple products, but last year I switched iPad to Surface Pro 3 - No going back!
It seems to me that they have taken a little bit of Microsoft's surface, and a little bit of the Galaxy note and added it to a bigger screen. Even the touch enhancements in the phone have already been announced by a rival. Long gone are the days of Apple being innovative but when you have a crowd who will cheer a pencil perhaps you no longer need to lead the way? To be fair though in the demo the only artist listed under his favourite artists was Rush with the Analog Kid and you can't get much cooler than that so its not all bad
All about evolution rather than revolution. Nothing too crazy, I'll wait for the 7 before updating my 5 iPhone, its still ticking along, faster than the old 3GS anyways.
The iPad pro is certainly a leaf out of the surface book. It looks like the new MacBook just without the fixed keyboard.
Apart from a brand new pressure sensitive screen to give a brand new set of options, a clever stylus and oversized iPad, yeah not much upgrade then? What do you want?

Let us try again, shall we?
What do I want? Teletransportation would be a good starting point!
IPad Pro is not really that close to a surface. It still runs iOS. Surface Pro is a full Windows 10 device.
Of course if you hate MS or think all their stuff is crap then that is not going to be a major bonus. Been using about 50/50 at work and home for many years and not found Macs to be all that reliable or PC to be all that buggy. They both seem to suck in equal amounts in different areas.
As for the new announcements, The iPad Pro looks like a great business tool for me. A lot of companies I works with have been looking to find a realistic way to get laptops out of the hands of the sales teams in the field and put something far simpler in their hands that has a big enough screen to run all the internal web aps and get work done. To date, the screens are just too small. Other tablets have been on offer but if a company has rolled out iPhones then finding a suitable iPad to replace the thousands of ThinkPads and MacBooks out there is very desireable. With it's 4K display, it is going to need to allow tiled Safari windows though. Single page with tabs has been the biggest business killer to date. Have a feeling that is not a feature that has been rolled out yet.
A great set of hardware with great innovation !

Part of the key note was inviting Microsoft to show the new Office apps... They showed Word and Excel side by side on the screen... so maybe this will be possible with Safari too, or a function of the new iOS 9 when the screen res is high enough ?
I think you have a point in the level of innovation, while it's difficult to constantly revolutionize. I think Apple has the risk of becoming mainstream and being attacked by the next cool company on the block....

Absolutely agree, peak apple was 9 months ago
IPad 2 and iPhone 4 here. Never liked the 5 - too tall and thin. iPad latest whatever it's called at work does all the same things, just a tad faster.
