Farewell to Childhood at Midstock

I has the pleasure of attending the Midstock festival in Dalkeith, Scotland on Saturday. There was a full days of acts including the Hoosiers, who were foregetable, and The Fratelllis who were good but boring, but the reason we went there was to watch Fish play the whole of Misplaced Childhood - for those who don't know he is currently touring for the last time and playing the album in full. My wife is a a huge Fish fan and we've seen him many many times but I have to say that it was a real pleasure to watch him do a really great job of singing an old favourite Marillion album and, even outdoors at a festival, his voice and the band sounded brilliant, and to cap it all off we managed to get back stage to meet him and get a few photos taken. The tour is moving across the country and well recommended if you liked Marillion at their best.
