Can Muso support gapless playback of FLAC files via UPnP ?

Hi, with my first Naim purchase, I'd assumed I was taking "giant strides" from sub £100 (Squeezebox) to circa £1k (Muso) streaming.  The plan was to pop the Muso in the lounge for a few weeks (just to make sure it sounded as good as it did in the showroom) and then to relegate it to Bedroom 1, by purchasing a a UnitiQute.  On a positive, it sounds great. However, I made the schoolboy error of failing to ask whether it could support gapless playback of FLAC files via UPnP.  Well, to be fair, what renderer couldn't, right ?

The Muso supports FLAC, so you should have no problems. I seem to remember a recent thread about someone having problems with this, but I think it turned out to be a problem with the uPnP server being used.

I don't believe the Muso does support gapless playback. There are a few threads on the issue, Here is one of them:

Thanks....  However, I'm sure it's nothing to do with configuration at the UpnP server end, as I can use other renderers to achieve gapless playback using the same FLAC files, from the same uPnP server source...

Many Thanks, I really do hope that Naim sort via a firmware upgrade..  Even when my Muso is sitting there quietly, it bugs me knowing that something that looks and sounds so great, can't cope with something so relatively simple in audio streaming terms....

If I were you I'd use something like dBpoweramp and join up the tracks on each cd I wanted to play gaplessly into one gapless track - or possibly two if the original was on vinyl. I'd probably give this a slightly different name to the original. Then when I wanted to stream the album  gaplessly I could do so easily, but I'd also still have the individual tracks when I wanted to pick and choose. Not an ideal solution, but what else can you do meantime?
