n-Stream and iOS 9
Posted by: Kevin Richardson on 23 September 2015
Just checking to see if the "old" n-Stream app is compatible with iOS 9. I greatly prefer n-Stream over Naim app.
Hi Kev,
I updated the iPad last night and nStream seems to be working just as it did before.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Ian
And I thought I was the only one still using n-Stream...

"Naim" app is replacement for "n-stream" app.
I prefer the looks of the n-stream app. How do you make it work on IOS9?

Thanks for the info.

My greatest hi-fi related fear is that one day n-Stream will stop working with a version of iOS. I plan to never make the switch to the Naim app.

The n-stream App is a bit clunky if you have more than one streamer and the naim App is very good in that regard. I liked the look of the old n-stream App but I wouldn't go back now that I'm used to it, even if I could.

Since one of the Naim app updates incorporated the optional function to call up a menu when you click on a track, instead of playing it straight off, which gives it more or less the same functionality as the old n-stream app, I am happy with the new version. I had an appalling time with the Naim app and my old Sony xperia phone - had to revert to n-stream and an iPod touch. But am now back to my usual zen-like self...(!)
