Follow-Up to "Is this room too small?"

Posted by: silklee on 27 September 2015

Finally a follow you to this https://forums.naimaudio.com/to...-this-room-too-small which I posted months back. Finally I moved in.

And it sound fine after all, though maybe that me hearing my own sistem thru rose tinted earmuffs.

There is an undoubtedly an issue with the room. I already have a full length curtain on the 3485 wall, and the speakers placed along the 3m wall. In the room, there is another big-ish leather recliner, and an ottoman. In the recess in the room, there is a computer table and another chair.

When I clap, I can clearly hear an echo in the room. However, it doesnt seem too detrimental to the music.

Will share more when things settle down.

I have to admit that clap situation would "concern" me - because it can't be the only sound bouncing.

I'll be interested to hear more from you as you settle in and perhaps make some changes.

What's on the floor?

Hi Silklee,

Is it a metallic echo ?

I adressed that in my room with a couple of polyurethane foam panels 50x100cm on the opposite speakers'

wall.
