how to connect DVD to CD5i / NAC72/ NAP 140

Hi Guys,

I assume this has been asked a thousand times so forgive me.

I have a fairly cheap Sony blue ray DVD player and wondered if the sound it can be played through my Naim system?

I am thinking it will require a DAC unit into the phono input on the CD5i but would appreciate any thoughts or if someone has already sorted a solution etc (my budget currently wont support an investment into a decent blue ray player so am after a stop gap solution !!)

Any advice ?

Penfold, as nobody has yet responded to this I will chip in. However, before I do so, does your Sony Blu-ray player have an analogue sound output - usually a pair of RCA phonos? If you don't know, just let me know the model number.
