Remote app problems since IOS 9.1

Posted by: magicaxeman on 29 September 2015

I'm having issues using the remote app on my iPad since upgrading to IOS 9.1, pause/stop and skip forward/back no longer work when streaming from my NAS, no track info displayed at all just UPNP displayed where the track artwork and info should be, only the volume control is responsive.

Have you tried restarting (rebooting) everything? By which I mean router, switches if you have them, NAS, Naim streamer and the IOS device?

Isn't iOS 9.1 beta software? I would recommend to stick with the stable version 9.0.1.

Which make nas are you using? Have you tried the app in compatibility mode?

I use a synology nas, and when using a "new to me" iphone6 it wouldnt connect to the nas. It connected to the streamer but wouldnt register my albums from the nas. It worked in compatibility mode though, although with reduced functionality. After some investigation I found a setting in media server that was to stop new devices using the nas until authorised. Once this was unticked everything worked fine.

Hope this helps

I always have this ticked except for when I have a new device to be introduced.  Visitors with smart phones can wake the sleeping NAS

I had this issue. Switching the NDS off and then on fixed it for me.
