nDac on the way

just purchased a nicely priced second hand unit from 2013

reading up on the manual, you can use an apple remote, but wondering if the Apple TV I have is going to cause trouble - if I change the input on the nDac will it wake up the Apple TV, and will the Apple TV menu navigation cause the nDac to start switching inputs etc.?

both units will be in the same area.
