Run in time of SL interconnect

Hi best_jerry, as you know I recently have been fortunate enough to go this route.

The loan cables I demoed were well run in and sounded great.

I received my new ones at the end of last week and out of the box they also sound great!

Others have talked about long run in times and a lot of ups and downs in previous SL threads, and I think it may be system dependent.

Mine is just a straightforward 2 box Classic system and the improvement was noticeable and straight away.

Might be different with better systems than mine I guess.

I see from your profile that yours looks a more extensive and Im sure better sounding system than mine, and also that you have the SLs already.

Are you finding your SLs going through the ups and downs that others have mentioned?

Im sure mine will improve with time but Im not sure I will be aware of the incremental difference until I stop to take stock one day.

50-75 hours of playing time.

If you use a streamer then just load up a big collection of music and then set to repeat.  Ditto with CD player (repeat).  You don't need the volume up on the preamp so shouldn't be intrusive when not actually listening to it.
