Superline, Hi-Cap & NAC 202

Posted by: NikkiK on 12 October 2015

Greetings, I need a bit of help with my new Naim kit.

Heres my system; NAC 202 powered by HI-Cap, NAP-200, Superline powered by a second HI-Cap.

My question.  What cable do I connect the Superline to the 202 and what output on the Superline, and which in put on the 202 do I use?

I don't find this topic listed/shown in the connection guide or instructions for any of the items listed above.  They do list the other phono stages, but not the Superline.

Thought I would ask prior to experimenting and possibly damaging something.  My local dealer suggested I post this question to the forum.

many thanks!

Nikki

Nikki, you take the Superline audio signal from one of the three DIN4s on the Hicap that is connected to the Sueprline. You then input into any of the inputs on the NAC202 which use a 180 degree DIN5.  To do this you should have a grey Naim 4-5 Interconnect.  If not, you need to ask your dealer to supply this to you.

So connection goes; Superline via SNAIC5 to Hicap via 4-5 interconnect to NAC202.

n.b. Do ensure that you have the multi-link Burndy plug fitted to the back of the Superline.
