M2Tech producers seem to have form when it comes to not catching up with OSX upgrades, the main reason I never bought one.

T38.45 - I have not had a problem post upgrade to El Capitan, my HiFace is working fine. Am using with Macbook Pro. In fact, very happy with things, especially as latest Audirvana beta also lets me stream Qobuz.

Hi, thanks for feedback I'm using macmini and it always drops the audio hw (m2tech), try to use the usb native connection these days and see if this works

No problems it seems with Mini into Hiface then Hugo

most recent OSX update says that it addresses issues with some audio plug-ins. Might be worth a try

I'm not sure why you'd blame the driver, in this instance.  IT is all about dependencies and in the corporate world Change Mgt is a vital function which puts the onus on the change instigator to get things right for everyone.  Back in the real world, it is up to the user to be cautious about updates where they know they have dependencies which the instigator probably doesn't give a sh*t about.....

Haven't tried the latest release – 10.11.1 I think – but the previous one wouldn't play with Hugo TT, nor a number of other DACs I tried

If you do try it, first make sure you have both a Time Machine backup of your current system and a bootable USB stick with the installer for your current OSX version, so you retain the option of being able to reinstall if El Cap doesn't do it for you
