hi everyone would a nac 252 go well with nap 250,2 iam using nac 202 at min iam saving up for a nac 282 but seen on ebay 252 are not alot more money to buy would it be alot better than 282 .
Yes, it probably would be a lot better but you would also need to buy a SuperCap power supply to power it which is an additional cost which may be why it appears cheap. The 252 cannot be powered without the Supercap whereas the 282 can be powered from a power amp (such as the 200 but not the 250.2), a HiCap or a SuperCap. Hope that helps!
I'd try and get a demo before committing to the 250.2, some prefer the presentation of the 282.

Just to be clear you cannot run a 252 with a Hicap you need a supercap to make it work the thing is some people actually think a 282 is more enjoyable than a 252 it is a lot of money to spend without trying it at home who knows what you will prefer if you buy it without hearing it it is something of a lottery but maybe that is ok
Yes, I'd very much support Steve J and HH's advice. Do try the 282 and 252 before committing. Both are very good pre-amps but they have different presentations which tend to divide opinions.

The alternative, of course, is to buy neither, and get a 272. It may or may not make sense, depending on whether streaming is part of the landscape. And the Hicap could also go.
The thing about buying second hand without a previous audition is that you can probably sell the item, if you don't like it, without loosing too much money - if any !
It amounts to an extended home demonstration.
All assuming the item(s) is is good condition and not a con.................
