UPnP always stops after a few minutes

I've tried Asset Upnp server on my mac, as well BubbleUpnp on my Android, and, after playing music for about 2-3 minutes, my Naim SuperUniti just stops playing.  I can restart the music, but, it always stops.

I'm on the latest Naim firmware.  Not sure what else I should try?

Also, is there a way to direct connect my Android phone to the USB on the front of the SuperUniti?  Works with my iPhone, but, not with Android.

Thanks!

Are you using a wired connection between your Mac and streamer? If so you might want to raise the query on the Asset forum... but perhaps something in your environment is interrupting the network flow..

Maybe your computer is put to sleep after a period of inactivity?

Yes, check your power saving on your mac............

Well, that does makes sense!  I had thought that power saving was smart enough to keep streaming going in the background (I'm streaming wirelessly).

Would this also apply for my Android phone?  It stops after a few minutes too.  Is that also to do with power settings?

Thanks!

The android phone is just a selector for the mac, once you have made the selection its redundant.

Its more likely to be the mac, mine does that if its running on battery, but its fine if running on mains, good luck............

Actually, I was thinking about when I'm streaming music from my Android phone (using BubbleUpnp).  Does anyone have experience with 'switching' off while streaming from the phone?  Not sure if this is a power saving/hibernation issue as well, or if it's something else.

Yep, that would do it, same senario no matter where your music is stored.........
