Boxing up Motive 2's - advice?

Anyone got any tips or advice on the best way to do this? I have the original boxes and the top of the speakers is pretty easy to figure out but the bottom where the plinths and spikes are, less so. Looks like they use the spikes to go into a large piece of foam to keep the base of the speakers from moving around. Does that sound about right?

IIRC the spikes were in a separate bag rather than attached to the base plate for transportation and the base plate was separate from the main speaker. It's been a while since i sold mine, but i remember having to fit the baseplate and spikes on purchase and remove them to ship.

PS - Neat are very responsive to email enquiries so worth checking with them if unsure.

Yes, James is correct, the baseplates should be unbolted, and the spikes removed.

Thanks guys,

My instructions say they are shipped fully assembled and this is how I received them.

I also contacted Bob who says they were initially shipped with base plate and spikes separated but this changed to a system similar to what I described above; although it would appear as if my packaging is a bit of a mix-and-match of both options so will just have to do the best with what I have.
