New NAP300DR - not a rant

Posted by: Graham Clarke on 06 November 2015

So, my matched set of NAP300DRs (three of them) are due to be delivered by UHES tomorrow.  I expect to find a full complement of burndy cables

Here's a picture of them at UHES towers, complete with a consecutive set of serial numbers which appeals to the inner nerd in me!

More once installed!

Pop quiz:

Excluding the Naim ad, out of the four sexist ads posted on page 2, what were the names of the hi-fi manufacturers ? (no cheating).

Ooops! another fine piece of music has just come on.

Isnt it annoying how fine music gets in the way of responding to some forum posts...

(I ask myself)

Is that banana even EU approved?  Internal curve radius looks outside agreed upon limits.

...it's a pre-Euro6 banana of course. :hehe:

What next, strawberries and cream ?

Hi analogmusic,

the Banana ad is from the late eighties or early nineties, if I remember this right. Linn had at least three ads in this particular style. A mixing bowl was pictured in one of them, probaly with strawberries and cream inside .  My favourite one featured a red sofa and the advice to get one of these before investing in Hi-Fi. Perhaps someone can add a picture of that one?

One of our dealers once said that the best upgrade he makes to his system costs about £45 a bottle but seems to need replacing very regularly.

Amazing adverts, a real throwback to the 90's and 80's I guess.

I haven'tseen most of them, being a relative newcomer to the Naim/Linn world.

Now, what's all this about a NAP300DR..........?!

Ah, of course.  So when tested it straightens itself out.  Probably manufactured by VAG.
