I'm thinking of buying a Sonos connect for a friend who is retiring.
I don't think he has any ripped music nor is he likely to bother ripping.
I'm hoping that Sonos has integrated Spotify in such a way that he will think he has the mother of all collections when he opens the sonos app on his iPAD.
Is this the case, the internet searching I have done does not make this entirely clear.

Its very user friendly and does streaming services really well, you can't go wrong for your friend with this SJB.
The Sonos app is probably also the benchmark that others aspire to, extremely intuitive.

Hi Sloop -
It also works very well with Music Vault and Deezer Elite (lossless - US only). One search, and I see all matches in my UPnP library as well as in both services.
The Sonos Connect is very affordable, easy to set up and use via an iPad app, and as a digital input for my NDS, the sound quality is more than acceptable to my ears.
ATB.

SONOS integrates better than anything at the moment. Radio, Spotify, Deezer, TIDAL etc... into a Naim ND streamer or DAC and all is good. Fear not and proceed with a Connect.
It's good to be King.

Agree with comments above.. Also Sonos integrates well with local media on a hard drive or NAS, and supports UPnP media servers.. All from the same control app.... the only thing the Sonos control app doesn't do is my Naim volume control automation
