Allen Toussaint

Songwriter, producer and revered New Orleans R&B performer Allen Toussaint has died aged 77 after suffering a heart attack.

How very sad, the man was a legend, who'll be sadly missed, but his music will live on.

Sorry to hear that - I saw him play live and he was a lovely guy as well as a music legend.

Very sad. His recent The Bright Mississippi is one of my favourites of his. It will be played tonight.

Gutted. A great songwriter, pianist and all-round bringer of joie de vivre. He will be missed.

I was due to see him at The Barbican on Sunday....

Sad news indeed. I fully agree, The Bright Mississippi is a great album, must also spin this evening.
