I want to start a musical thread which I hope will last a long time. The idea is you post a embedded video (you tube) of a song or musical piece of your choice, and the next person on the forum rates the song/piece in a short sentence and gives marks out of ten. When describing your opinion, please try be specific instead of just saying 'very good or very bad, and then just mark it eg. 5/10.
Then post your own song/musical piece of your choice.
In order to make this thread interesting music will be accepted from all genre of music but please try not post musical pieces which last a long time. A Wagner overture perhaps yes but not the act 1 of Flying Dutchman!
Any way I will start of

Romi,
I like your premise for this thread. I enjoy exposure to music on this forum that I otherwise would not have heard and this track from 1972? fits the bill. Obscure to me and I'd have guessed it was a more modern song. I like the tight, complex percussion of the track, interplay with the bass, and the vocals fit it well. I know nothing of music proper, but sounds like minor chords prevalent with the guitar? Good discord whatever it is. The music builds to a climax with the keyboards and has a nice fade-out. I'll rate it a solid 4/10. Good to hear.
My follow up is the track "No Other Baby" stuck in my mind from McCartney's 1999 album Run Devil Run. Macca's liner notes on the song read: "It was released as a single in 1958 by a British skiffle group The Vipers. I've no idea how this one got so embedded in my memory .. I've never had the record"

Surprisingly I enjoyed this song from Paul McCartney, (originally by The Vipers), the melody is really nice and has a haunting feel about it. 6/10
Here is a real country music that a Naim system would just love to swallow up (Pace,Rhythm and Timing). I just love the bands comments after the end of track..

Quite peppy and energetic! I like the upbeat happy sound. I find myself drawn to the lower volume background playing that ties the whole piece together. 5/10
This piece is a favorite of mine as each time I listen to it I find interesting rhythms in it. I'm also a big fan of the futuristic ambience married to muted beats.

Not a bad electronic music, what for me holds it together is the beat, which in turn makes the other tunes in the song more acceptable. 5/10
Here is a classical piece which sets of all kind of different scenarios in my head each time I hear it.
