Muso touch control

Posted by: Constantine on 12 November 2015

Hello all!

I bought my nee Muso a few hours ago and I am really pleased with it!!! One thing I noticed though has to do with the touch control. The forward button is very sensitive, similar to using a smartphone, but the rest of the buttons, especially the play/pause one require some force in order to work. Is this normal?

Thank you!

Hi there

Congrats on your purchase.  I find the touch controls a bit inconsistent.  Sometimes they respond nicely, but other times not.

I pretty much always use an iPad or the remote to control it so have not found it a big deal in practice.

I would second that - the touch wheel looks very cool and is nicely weighted but I also find the touch controls to be hit and miss. Perhaps related to finger moisture / heat??

Great one box solution though and I usually use the naim app to control it.

Thank you very much for your feedback, I really do appreciate it. My dealer also checked out today the demo Muso and he confirmed to me that there is a difference between the outer and inner buttons. Of course I tried several ways of pressing the buttons, but still there is a notable difference.

Well, since it is normal, I am happy with it

I try to avoid using the touch controls and dial, sometimes they also lock the unit up with the White LED (Naim logo) blinking and all OLED's lit up.

Ours are a bit inconsistent too. We very seldom use them because the remote is good and iDevices work well too. Besides which, with the best will in the world the surface will get greasy and grubby.
