Interconnects

This may be a silly question, but is there a recommended minimum lenght on interconnects as with speaker cable on naim equipment?
Are interconnect 0,6 meters okay?
Not to my knowledge, and I have 0.5 metre interconnects working admirably between DAC-V1 and SN2. I don't think it's one to worry about.
I've got a 0.5 between my Hugo and SN2 and no problems at all
I too use a 0.5 between my nDAC and 152XS and it sounds great.
However, I was mainly steered to 0.5 by the reduced cost when compared to buying a longer length
This obviously limits positioning but then high-end cables can cost rather a lot!
I have read elsewhere that a longer interconnect sounds better, but then they would say that wouldn't they? :-)
I asked a similar question a while back. The reason I asked at the time was for neatness behind the rack. Most of the standard naim cables are over a metre long.
Richard dane's reply was :-
Naim didn't just pick a random length.A lot of testing was done to achieve the best sq with regard to length.
I can't comment on non naim cables.

Richard may we'll be right on Naim selecting a critical length but it's not a practice followed elsewhere, most seem to be made around 1m as a universal fit all. Then consider the professional audio industry such as recording studios, sound stage & suchlike where IC can be numbers of metres before the first effects of predominantly capacitance come into effect.
I make my own & have based it on the theory of less of everything, capacitance, inductance, resistance & minimum length is probably as close to minimal cable effects as possible.
i use a cable with all the above, made to measure & the shortest is 0.28m
I'm not saying they are better but to my ears are as good as some of the better IC's I've compared them with.
