Hissing from ND5

Okay so I suddenly noticed I was getting terrible hiss on playing. It was only there when actively sending a signal to the amp so I assumed it was the player and not the amp. It was on both channels. A very loud background hiss. Turned the player off for a few mins and then back on. Hiss has gone away. What's that about then?

I haven't heard of this on a Naim streamer before, but it's worth remembering that all of the streamers are computers inside, that sometimes computers crash for reasons unknown and you fix it by turning them off and on again.

If it happens again soon, then I would start wondering about a problem, but otherwise I would put it down to being "one of those things...."
