Never had any problems before , recently last couple of days ripping albums on unitiserve which did not originally pick up the correct cover art, when going on edit cover through to find on the web search option - when cover is selected the app crashes.

Selecting cover image saved on photo library works fine though.

n-Serve app hasn't been an issue however was wondering is there or will there be an update for the servers to fix the annoying indexing issues, e.g "The Beatles". Naim seem to be the only high end manufacturer(or low end for that matter) that hasn't being able to deal with this issue all others that I've seen logically file 'Beatles, The'.

Also now the streamers all can handle DSD isn't it time to bring the servers up to date.

Just a thought.

PG, You can edit your meta data to make your artists read however you wish. Personally I prefer all artists that are 'The' something to read that way, ie 'The Beatles', 'The Rolling Stones'...etc as this is how their albums are titled in hard copy. This is the good thing with stored streamed files, you can arrange and title them to suit you own preference.

Cheers

I started doing thee same as Ricky but having 'The' in front led to  a massive list of bands starting with 'The' and having it after just seemed unnecessary (I know 'Beatles' = The Beatles so don't need to say 'Beatles, The' A lot of bands use 'The' is inconsistent anyway. The one exception to not using the is 'The The' as 'The' would just look wrong.

Now if i could just find a neat solution to listing albums chronologically as opposed to alphabetically within artist folders.

King Size, Agree with you about having a lot of 'The's' if using this route, but I still don't mind it this way, as once I go to all my 'The's' it's alphabetical after that, ie, 'The Bad Plus'..'The Beatles'..etc.

I too always thought it would be great to have albums listed chronologically in the artist folders, and I guess the only way to do this would be to add a number before each album title. This would look a bit naff though..

Cheers

Yes the indexing issue is only minor, but frustrating just the same. However what matters most is the sound and I've never had reason to be disappointed it my Naim gear.

Anyway while most of you in the northern hemisphere will be tucking into your turkey snuggled up by the fire we'll be out enjoying a cold seafood Christmas lunch on the veranda (yes I know it's a cliché

So to one and all hope you and your family have a save and merry Christmas wherever you maybe.

And hopefully a peaceful year ahead.

An "Ignore prefixes when sorting by artist" option would be great. I like that, for instance, The Who show up under "W" rather than "T" without having to change the tag to just "Who, The".

Michel

Sorting by prefix would typically be handled by your UPnP ContentDirectory server device - in your case, the HDX - but it would be useful to have that ability.

Hi Dave, I'm using the HDX via it's analogue outputs so I have no other means to sort this issue out ...

Many regards,

Michel
