Mission 731 worth it?

Hi! Im new here but I already know you guys know much about good (musical) hifi
I have chance to get Mission 731 speakers for price about 40 euro. What do you think?
Now I have Q Acoustics 1020i and Fatman Itube (with PS1 and some Modded Philips-TDA-players).
Any Idea? Will Mission speakers beat Q Acoustics? At least I want to try something new.
Thanks!

The 731 are blast from the past. I used to have a pair of 731e which went for 160 pounds at the end of their life (130 pounds for the tegular 731).
40 euros seems okay if they are in good condition. However, I also now have Qacoustics 2010i (I am not familiar with the 1020i). The 2010i blow the 731 out of the water on absolutely every level. Budget loudspeakers have improved a huge amount in the past 15 years.

Thanks for reply. Do you remember how 731e sounded?

The 731LE (to use its proper name) punched way above its weight and wasn't really beat for clarity unless you spent twice as much on Mission 751 instead.
The sound was fairly spacious with good bass response but could tend to boom unless positioned right (do not toe them in). They benefit from quite a high stand of open frame design rather than a heavy mass loaded design. Not great on a bookshelf. Soundstage was decent but not what I would call pinpoint accurate. But quite airy and unmatched at the time in that low price bracket. Backed up with Naim amplification they really shone but they were more often paired with something like a NAD 3020 or Arcam Alpha 5 amp.
As I've said, things have moved on. The current Q Acoustics 2010i are also 160 pounds and sound incomparibly better. But then 40 pounds for 731 (especially the LE version) is a great bargain.
