Why don't you just - wire it in Mr Meni? Your dealer can still come along & check things for you but I'd be damned if I'd wait that long. You'll see the box...its contents whisper to you, an insistent little voice...please plug me in....please get me going....please listen to me....please...

Enjoy I am sure it will sound amazing as the 300 dr was when I heard one

unless you are very happy and confident doing it yourself, i'd just wait for your dealer to connect it. i assume its new?

Need patience, my dealer is not a young person anymore so every step he does he needs to rest, atleast 2 days. i don`t have enough expirence or self confidence with my two left hands to install it by myself so never mind to wait 3 more days

Is your dealer physically up to moving around heavy Hifi items? I'm guessing apart from Statement products, the 500 amp must be one of the weightiest boxes they sell? 

Maybe your dealer has a younger abled bodied assistant with him. If it were me, i'd be installing it myself but then i've always done my own installs. It's part of the fun for me!

Just follow the enclosed manual and get the damn thing set up. It will sound itchy scratchy for the first week and improve over the next month. We wanna' hear how it performs!  GO GO Peter ( former SL2 owner)

You're the first person to post on here with a 500DR so you can expect to receive some comments if you don't install it. Installation is a piece of cake, if you have the muscles to lift it onto the rack. There are only a couple of burndies leads between the 500PS and 500 head unit, then the Din-XLRs from the 552PS to the 500 head unit. Simples.

........with the current range there is no chance for the regulation to appear in the preamp stages.

 

As for amplifiers, it seems reasonable that all the regulated amplifiers could benefit from it in future (i.e. 250 and up). Bear in mind that DR is a development of the 500's own regulation which is already discrete (if somewhat different from DR).

Richard you might be on to something here. From memory ( something far from boasting about these days ) Meni was running 2x250s active before? Oh dear Peter

One would think that if one had the capacity to spend £20,000 on a power amp, one would have the ability to connect five wires, and the speaker wires, but maybe not. Connecting a 500 is about as challenging as putting on one's pants. 

With or without massaging one's burndy? 

Even then, it's hardly a challenge. Just rub it between your fingers, wiggle it a bit, and form it into the right shape for easy entry.
