Big thanks to Darran at Class A Audio for a quick repair on my failed UQ display.
UQ back in the rack feeding my Hugo playing tunes
If we are alone in the universe, it doesn't make any difference as interstellar travel takes so long as to make it irrelevant given limited human lifetimes.
Even if we are not alone in the universe, interstellar travel takes so long that by the time anyone found out that we have a technological society, and took the time to travel here, two further possibilities would then exist.
1 they'll be so far advanced that they're not interested in conquest (why bother? and if they want territory, they'd just pick a non-technological, unpolluted planet).
2 we'll have advanced to the point where we can deal with them after their long journey to get here.
To me none of those are particularly frightening let alone terrifying.
Quite what this has to do with Streaming Audio I've yet to work out!
or 3. humans will be extinct by then.

According to current theory.
or 3. humans will be extinct by then.
Personally I don't think that'll happen for a very long time; but anyway, I won't be here to see it even if it happens fairly soon!
Maybe I should have posted on the New Scientist mag
What if you have use of the TARDIS.
Then you should definitely post in New Scientist.
No scratch that, I think Nature would probably take the article.
Alternatively you could approach the Royal Society: Arriving in the lecture theatre using the TARDIS would definitely assure your place in history, and the corresponding report in the 'Proceedings' would make for interesting reading!
