As you have 12 NAP S1 why not get both?

I'm in Australia. Brisbane to be exact.

I went from a 155 to 200 (new to secondhand) and don't regret it. My 200 dated from around 2003 I think, and I had it serviced so it would be nearly as good as new. I guess you get more oomph with a 200 and greater clarity.

...please describe the difference between them? I have a 150x and occasionally wonder what I am missing out on?

The 200 has more drive and is able to control speakers better. I certainly wouldn't want to drive A6s with a 150x. A 200 would get a lot more out of them.

...it appears to drive them without trouble, however I listen at low volume (30 on the Uniti) and the system sounds sweet (as it should frankly for nearly £6k) however you know what happens...it is the " well I do enjoy the quality of sound from my system,so upgrading components will make it sound even better"... male justification (or Hunter / Gatherer fulfilment) that we are all familiar with!?

Fortunately , I have the financial means to upgrade however despite being curious my urges are easily controlled by me not liking to spend my hard-earned!

So I guess I am  a Naim voyeur...

the jump to NAP200 (DR or non-DR) is an important step in Naim hierarchy, one of the most rewarding and consistent, if you ask me. but i would strongly recommend the DR version, it really worths the extra cash over an older 200.

Thank you for your replies! I really appreciate them. I bought a second hand 250 from a dealer for A$3500. It was made in 2005, so is due for a recap. There was a second hand 200 for $2500 at another dealer, ? age. $1000 for a step up the hierarchy seemed too good to pass up.

People seemed a little reluctant to answer my questions. The old green-eyed monster might have risen its ugly head over my main system.

I doubt it is reluctance, or envy ... Possibly awe? But to reconcile your credibility gap a picture or two would suffice, and not of the messy office system!

I was reticent to answer the question, as it was very bluntly put and with no system context. And pretending to have a system with 12 S1 amps and the rest is simply silly. People who ask questions in a friendly way will get better responses.

My uncle thought that I was "pretending" and "silly" when I said that I would execute him. And it's not my system. It belongs to the people. The Democratic People's Republic of North Korea does not even have a Naim dealership. It's not easy. Because of the blockade by the running dog American imperialists, I have to make do with reverse-engineered cast-off 1970's technology. There were only 6 Briks left in the whole of TDPRNK, the price skyrocketed and I had to make the other six. You don't think that I would prefer some nice modern Bose speakers? I would!

Glad to see you're taking a more conciliatory attitude towards the forum Andrew. I imagine you'll get more constructive responses hereon .

...it isn't envy impeding feedback...rather, it is ,with respect, because you come across as a total tool!
