"Current Visitors" - right hand side of the screen layout, near the bottom.

Does this now serve any useful purpose?

Hafler, it's all there in your profile; pictures, community rank etc.., I just checked for you. Are you sure you're properly logged in?

Posted on: 03 December 2015 by hafler3o

There's 2 bugs up there ^^^^^, just tried to reply to Don's post and edited down his post before replying, only to find I could not place the cursor outside of Don's  'box' at all!  Ok, abandon edit I think, but no, there's only a reply box and no cancel box available, so I cannot abandon a post without 'jumping back' to a previously reloaded page.

How can I reply without being logged in? To be honest I have no idea because the site is telling me nothing explicitly. I have adjusted my settings to not get emails for likes but that's all.

No change there then.  Editing back quoted text could sometimes do that even in Hoop La Mk1.  You'd have to go back, refresh page, and start again.  I'll make a note and see whether it can be fixed in H-L Mk2.

Posted on: 03 December 2015 by Richard Dane

What I mean is, have you tried logging out and then logging back in?

If still having issues please tell me what devices and browsers do you use so I can feed back to H-L.

I'm not sure I understand you ............. it works for me just like as before
If I decide to abandon a post,  I  left click & swipe it all blue & hit the delete button  .........  just like it was before

If it makes any difference to understanding whats going on ... I'm running a laptop with Windows-10 & the Naim forum runs out of Chrome

Richard I'm running the latest Safari on an iPad mini. I don't have a problem with

HSBC fr/uk, Lloyds Bank, EDF, Discogs forum, PayPal, Bleep, Amazon, Progarchives forum (all used this eve on this device)

Hafler, your profile all looks fine but I cannot see your preference settings so can't see how you've set your Privacy settings;  In the Privacy Settings you can disable your "Profile Wall" and hide your "likes".  If you have these ticked then try unticking them.

Posted on: 03 December 2015 by Richard Dane

OK, on my iPhone the Profile is shaved back to the basic one - i.e. no extended profile.  Maybe iPad &/or iPad mini is the same.  I don't know without trying one out.  Can anyone help here?

On a computer you should see all is there.

I'm using an iPad mini, so no left clicking for me, there used to be two boxes 'post reply', 'cancel'. Now there's no 'cancel'.

I've never touched any settings since I joined (until today!) but I don't think I'm hiding anything. I'm going to try and log out, if I can find it, then log in and look again. Fingers x'd

Not sure this is a bug as others seem to be able to find their profile page, but an iPad mini I cannot see how to get to my profile. How do I find it?

Additionally, the 'search' option seems to have disappeared. Is this hidden somewhere?

This is my first post on this new forum. There seems to be a lag between typing and it becoming visible on the screen, especially when backspace deleting.

Press the three lines at top left. Your profile is the top item. Search is further down the list.

The photo thingy is still as crap as ever, and even worse on my ipad when I do waste my time trying to insert an image the image box takes me to the top of the screen and leave me there once I've pressed ok which is almost as annoying as not getting the damned picture to show in the first place

Thanks, Nigel. I'm sure I would have found it eventually, it's rather like the three lines option in the new (to me!) Naim app.

Ok, logged out, straight back in, looked at profile, safari reported 'connection was lost', reloaded previous webpage and 'ta-da' there's my profile! The only privacy thing I have ticked is 'strip location from images..'? or something like that.

On replying here it took about twenty screen stabs to get a cursor to appear, just like the cursor problem and balloon tip problem last night (they refused pointblank) so it seems there's some sort of problem but I don't know what. Functionality for me is hit/miss and the new layout is making things difficult to suss what is really going on! Cursor disappearance is really annoying and only seems to be on here the last two nights (coincident with upgrade)

How do you work out whether you are signed in or not (other than attempting a dummy post)? There used to be my avatar in the top right, but no longer.

I notice all the pictures in my profile are no longer visible (to me at least). If they are gone, what have Naim done with them?

Forum (community) rank seems to have disappeared too, on purpose or just another balls-up?

I posted the same issue elsewhere - All I see is 'Naim' on the left and 'Community' on the right of a deep black header bar in Safari. I'm sure my work PC using Explorer had my avatar and other options visible along its length.

I reported that last night, it's a scroller's delight!! Sounds like you got an image in, mine won't paste urls because the cursor won't materialise...

I know! Everything is reduced to three bloody lines. My sons (18 and 20) look at me pityingly as I grapple with this stuff. Somehow it's obvious to them.

I don't have "three lines at the top left". I do have three lines at the top right, but they are part of Mozilla !

I do have a Tool Bar at the top of the Forum page, similar to lat week's version and on this tool bar is a "Q" which opens up as a Search function and also a "+" which allows me to start a new topic.

Looks like we all have unique/different presentations.

Not a bug but I hope someone can help. I seem to have messages on a 'wall' (left some months ago) that I never knew existed (and therefore never replied to, unless I'm going daft)

a) what are they? Is it some kind of PM within the forum?

b) how do you know when one arrives?

c) do they get locked?

Sorry, if this forum came with a manual and glossary I would have read it by now, but I can't see any guide or tutorial.

You will have some differences depending upon the device - i.e. computer, iPad or iPhone.  I think the idea is to try to ensure that the forum can be navigated easily even on an iPhone without having to keep zooming in and out, while keeping overall look and feel across all devices as close as possible.  That seems to be the theory anyway...

Hafler, Wall posts have been around for a couple of years now.  You should get notifications via e-mail when someone posts to your wall (unless you have switched off all notifications or your registered e-mail address is no longer valid).  It's viewable by all, including moderators and also subject to forum rules, so like Private Messaging but without the privacy...

To see profile, have to click on the poster's avatar - but if no avatar, there's no longer a default male/female silhouette one, and nothing to click on so no profile accessible from the post.
