New forum bugs

if you come across any bugs you wish to report wth the new forum please leave them here. We will then feedback to hoopla, thanks for your support.
So, I really really don't like the layout. This is all, of course, very personal but rather than keep ranting about it I decided to draft a bit of css to condense the text to more or less the orignal space used in the old forum.
I mostly use google chrome to browse and the "stylish" extension installed. This allows for a custom css that marks up the page to your "custom" liking.
If you include the following css using that extension, the forum should become easier to read, at least to my eyes.

Could you post a screenshot? That is interesting.
But I think you have condensed a bit too much, because instead of just one new line you have entered two (or three?) new lines to mark a paragraph so that all others see your paragraphs with far too much gaps between them.
PLEASE could we just keep this thread to actual BUGS. Any conversation regarding general appearance etc.. to go in other threads, thank you.
One micro-bug -- the panel on the RHS titled "about this site" has "Paul Stephenson - Managing Director" which is out of date now?
Not sure, if this was mentioned already, haven't read this thread.
1st: When you click on 'Take Action' within a thread (s.b. else's post, not your own) this pull down menu comes up:
Can someone please put these options in a logical order, i.e. most useful and used first! That would be 'Reply With Quote'! I doubt most people plan to select 'Report Reply'. It's common sense, which Hopeless seem to have a particular problem with.
2nd: Spacing, can the guys in charge please reduce the space that is introduced into a text when hitting the return button? The options above were:
xxxxx
or
xxxxx
A compromise somewhere in between would be nice.
3rd: Can someone please turn that annoying 'Follow' function (displayed in the bottom left hand corner when replying to a thread) off, i.e. it not being enabled by default. Got to untick it every time I post a reply to a thread.
MTIA!!
Bug : when replying from my iPad, it is impossible to move the cursor to a different area of the text, unless the iPad's pop-up keyboard is closed each time.
Thanks Jan-Erik, I'll pass that one on.
Bug : When hovering over the upper left menu (Forums), the drop down box is partially off screen (on Safari, Chrome and Firefox). I'm using a MacBook Pro. Zooming out doesn't help.
+1 Jan-Eric and Richard. Experienced the same and very inconvenient.
Also scrolling up pages on my Samsung Android (4.0.4) phone seems to frequently kill the currently-opened browser page. Page loads often also don't complete before the phone screen blanks off. This is on a very good 4G network and other sites don't experience this. It may be the main HTML segment is large/slow, whereas other sites push a smaller initial segment and then fetch sub-elements asynchronously?
I don't know if this classifies as a bug but on a number of occasions when replying with a quote I have experienced the dreaded 'spinning wheel'. In comparison with the older interface there is no cancel facility and no way to copy the text after pressing the post button. The only solution I've found is to leave the window, come back and then repost. It has nothing to do with internet connection as other windows work normally.

I have experienced that as well, on an older Samsung. I thought it was my phone playing up.

+ 1. I almost reported this reply when I meant to « Reply with Quote »... Please fix !!!
Noted, but it's not a bug (it's by Hoop.la design) so can we please keep this thread on topic, bugs only, thanks.
OK. Just to clarify then:

Large fleas have small fleas upon their backs to bite 'em
Small fleas have smaller fleas, and so ad infinitum!

Ok, its changed:
"Paul Stephenson - Chairman, Trevor Wilson Managing Director"
So Paul is correct with the "-" but Trevor is without the requisite "-"
OK, I'm in a *very* picky mood today? :-)
Is it just me but I've lost the toolbar in the Add Reply box. They are there if the cursor is held over where they should be but invisible otherwise.

Tool bar is always visible in my "Add Reply" layout, no need to "mouse-over" to bring it to life.
ThinkPad running Windows XP and Mozilla
A number of times now when browsing on a Win 7 PC using IE11 The forum has suddenly moved left on screen by about 4 or 5 cm, thus losing the lefthand side of the page. There's no horizontal scroll bar to bring it back so you have to click out of the page. This resets it back to the correct point
One thing I notice is that now when some people post some picture I cannot see them at all. I use a Firefox 42.0 browser.
When the pictures are in links like before the update I had no problems, but now I don't see some pictures, that comments from others indicate they can see.
Not good.

ChrisSU posted:I'm finding that hitting 'first unread post' often takes me to the wrong place in a thread, usually back to posts I have read. The old forum never got this wrong.
Is there any chance of a fix for this? Combined with the huge amount of scrolling required to find where you want to be, it's really doing my head in.
I've passed this one but after much testing Hoop La can't replicate this, Chris. And I can't make it misbehave either. Is this a specific device/browser?
DB, nobody should be posting directly to the site - for some reason it is enabled for Beta testers (Naim have their reasons here, I guess). All images should be from external sites or hosted elsewhere (photo bucket, Flikr etc..). Any images hosted on site cannot be guaranteed to be viewable to all.
