Well I do not know if "jumps" is the right word here. Since some days the music from RP sometimes sounds if some packages have got lost. Usually you do not hear a gap or click. It just sounds if some milimeters have been cut out of a music tape. So the rhythm does a jump. It does not happen all the time but sometimes 3 or 4 times in a song, sometimes less often.
Do others here hear the same issue so it is an encoding or transmission fault on radio paradise side? Or might it be related to a new internet access that I have got two weeks ago where I switched from adsl 18MBit to vdsl 50MBit? The connection is very fast and until now very reliable.
Is such an internet radio stream udp instead of tcp? Maybe these packages get lost and because of no error correction/resending you then hear these faults?

I've listen to RP for at least a few hours every day. I have not experienced any problems such as you describe. My service is ADSL around 20 to 24mbs. The change to VDSL is taking place early next year - its all in place & waiting.
I don't believe your problem is the change to VDSL, but if the service has changed to UDP that might be the problem; but I am not aware that its used in public service telecommunications.
Have you spoken to your ISP ??

I listen to RP just about all day, it's on constantly and I occasionally listen to other stations and I think it's on their end because I hear these 'jumps' too. It's like the song skips a bit, a fraction of a second type of thing. This doesn't happen on any other station which leads me to believe the issue is at their end. It's also not something new, I've been aware of this for at least a year.
Checking their forums and there's numerous posts going back 7 years on the topic.
