Hi,
I have a recurring problem streaming Qobuz from the iMac to the Unitilite, via Airfoil and an Airport Express (connected to the Unitilite with an optical cable, "toslink"). It worked fine for a while, but now, it keeps losing connexion. The Airfoil message is that it "lost connexion with the remote speaker". I wrote to Airfoil. They said it may be a problem with the wifi signal. But the iMac, the Unitilite and the Orange livebox are in the same room and the wifi signal seems ok.
I don't think it is a problem with the Airport Express: I tried using it to stream the iTunes library via Airplay (instead of using upnp and a wired connexion) and it works.
Any ideas about what is happening ?

I wrote to Qobuz and they didn't "offer" any solution ... yet. I'm actually thinking of trying Tidal ...

Have you tried changing the channel of your wifi network. I had problems in a wi-fi heavy user environment (apartment building) when all settings were set to automatic. From memory, in the newer Mac OS there is a wifi utility, iirc to access you need to option-click the WLAN icon on your iMac. That might help.
Can't help re Airfoil, but I stream Qobuz with no problems via an Airport Express.

Like you, I live in a flat, so in a heavy wi-fi environment. But no, I haven't tried changing the channel of my wi-fi network. How can I do that on OS 10.9.5 ? I suppose you don't mean connecting to someone else's box, since it's not possible.
What do you mean when you say you "can't help re Airfoil" ? Is it that you don't use it ?

I've just tried to find the best wi-fi channel with the iMac "Diagnostic" utility and changed it on the Livebox (router). It seems to work for now.
I have another question: what audio output do I chose in the Mac sound preferences (Airplay ?) and in the Qobuz desktop preferences (Default: Airplay / Audio core: Airplay / another one) ?
