n-Serve for mac.

Hi,

I'm finally about to get round to editing the metadata for those Naim ripped albums which resolutely remain as "unknown artist", both in n-Serve on my MacBook, and, obviously, in the n-Stream control app on my iPad.

In n-Serve, I can clearly see the "edit metadata" tab, but it doesn't seem to function. The tab directs me to either Youtube, Google, or Wikipedia.

I can edit info using the remote / front screen on my HDX server, but that is tedious in the extreme.

What am I doing wrong?

Regards,

Dave.

If you control-click an album or track, in the list above, you get the edit metadata option:

Untitled

Although I think it's as easy to edit in N-Serve for iOS.

Ta Dah!

Well that works fine, so now it's time to start the joyful process of dealing with all these "unknown" albums.

Life was so much simpler with CD's.

Many thanks CHRISSU

You won't be thanking me at 2am when you're staring cross-eyed at the screen....good luck!

Oh no it wasn't (it's that time of year again)!

With CDs you had to move them around physically and inserting one earlier in the order meant moving all the CDs that were further down the order.  Doing it in software is so much easier in practice.

Except for the fact that the ripping was carried out somewhat randomly, so as a result, the "filing" of the CD's in boxes, and subsequent stuffing in the loft means a mega search through countless boxes, (look out, it's behind you!), to confirm track listings...............oh well, maybe tomorrow.

It's all good.

You could always look up the track listings on Amazon, so long as the albums aren't really obscure. Like you, my albums were ripped in a decidedly unmethodical way, and most of them are in a large trunk. It would take me hours and hours to find a specific CD.
