ovatar s400 opinions??

hey guys... got a chance to hear the ovatars 400 for just abit..though not with familiar recordings..any of you heard them properly??thinking of getting them..the build is impressive n cymbols sounded really lifelike but i detected a slight compression in the soundstage,,, but i think ill have to go down n hear them out with my discs n recordings for a longer period of time..any of u impressed by them??opinions pls

They seem to be more liked from the off than their big brothers the 600's.

You need to take your own music along for a listen,and try and hear them on your system for a few days at home if you can?

Compression in the soundstage is a characteristic of not (fully) run-in Ovators in my experience of the 600.  After a few hundered hours play they remain consistently the most open, coherent and 3 dimensional loudspeaker I've heard.

 

The journey there is a bit of a roller coaster however.
